Academic study interview - licensing of patents for the mobile Internet of Things (IoT)

An opportunity to participate in an achedemic study. The interview will be treated with full confidentiality and anonymity. The interviews will take place in the next two weeks.

Joachim Henkel, a professor of technology and innovation management at Technical University of Munich Home - Dr. Theo Schöller-Stiftungslehrstuhl für Technologie- und Innovationsmanagement) is currently conducting a research project on the licensing of patents for the mobile Internet of Things (IoT), related e.g. to LTE or Wifi. He is in fact revising his study on IoT patent licensing with a focus on European startups (academic, non-sponsored) and would like to conduct short interviews via Zoom with young IoT firms.

The focus is on the licensing of such “standard-essential” patents to small and/or young firms. This research is of high relevance to policy makers and he was invited to present preliminary findings in webinars hosted by the European Commission and by other institutions.

If you would like to participate, please email me on stulip@actonline.org and I’ll introduce you to Joachim.
